Kara Williams brings over 25 years of dedication to public service, with extensive experience in affordable housing and community infrastructure development. Her career has been marked by her commitment to creating sustainable solutions for underserved populations and managing complex, large-scale projects.
As an Affordable Housing Project Manager for the City of Seattle, Kara directed the redevelopment of affordable housing valued in the hundreds of millions, helping to increase the city’s housing stock for vulnerable populations.
Kara actively participates in Seattle’s annual One-Night Count, an essential effort to document the needs of unhoused individuals, which informs community housing strategies and resource allocation.
Currently, Kara supports school districts throughout the Pacific Northwest as a Senior Project Manager, overseeing modernization efforts, facility improvements, and state-required energy upgrades across 19 sites with an approximate budget of $50 million.
Kara’s experience encompasses project strategy, budget management, and operations, with a consistent focus on meeting both community needs and operational standards.
Her broad expertise in development and operational management makes Kara an invaluable asset to SOCCO’s mission, driving impactful change and fostering sustainable growth.
